This Thing Here

This morning I got what could be the most generic spam email subject of all time…

Save your money by getting this thing here

Are spammers just getting lazy, or do they really expect people to think “Hey, I need to save my money, I should get that thing there!” I know I’ve received plenty of other funny spam titles, but I just can’t think of any right now that are as stupid as this one.

What are the best spam message titles or concepts you’ve come across? There’s got to be other funny one’s out there.

PS. Given the nature of the comments here, there is a high probability that they will be moderated.

I had a meds spam the other day that had the rather intriguing subject line… ‘every stick has two ends’
I did open it though which was a spammers victory of sorts.

  • Brent O'Connor

Hmmm… That would require reading your spam, right?

  • Logan

I don’t get much spam, but this guy devoted a website to cartooning spam subject lines such as yours: spamusement.com.

Yeah Logan, Spamusement totally rocks. I don’t have a single other feed in my reader that makes my eyes light up so much when I see there’s a new entry.

The one that kills me lately, for both the artwork and the sheer weirdness of the subject line, is Rambo, just 10 minutes.

    Ha! Genius.

“A marriage without love making isn’t a marriage at all.”

I just got this bad boy in my inbox. It also said if I want to be a stallion in the bedroom I should check it out. Who doesn’t?

I keep getting two mails with similar titles, both selling knock-off fake jewel and Gold watches

Title 1: ‘Everyone will know YOU HAVE MADE IT!’

Title 2: ‘Everyone will know YOU HAVE ARRIVED!’

First line: – with our authentic range of cheapest watches…

What? -He’s arrived – quick look at his naff watch’. – nonsense.
