OrderedList.com v2.0

So I finally had some time to rework the look of my site. I never felt like I got to spend the time I wanted creating the first version. So with a new look, and some added features and a little more style comes v2.0 of OrderedList.com. Feel free to comment, I always like a little input. Tell me what you like, don’t like… I’m up for anything.

  1. Are the blue/purple link lines above and in some cases through the top nav items intentional? I see these in Firefox 0.9. I dig the look (great colors), though I liked the other too.

  2. I’m running Firefox 0.9.1 on Windows and I’m not seeing any blue/purple lines. Fixed already?

    Anyway, looks great!

  3. It seems Daryl is running a very unusual configuration: Fedora Core 2 with Firefox 0.9. Still, I believe I have traced the issue down to a missing text-decoration:none; definition on the a tags on the menu, so all should be working now. Thanks for the info guys. Keep it coming.

  4. Very nice job, Steve!
I especially like the structure of the home page.

  5. Impressive code, beautiful looking, nice use of colour and imagery. Very nicely done indeed.

  6. I love it. It looks much more finished than the last design, and I love the colors. A few problems though. In both IE and Firefox 0.8, the text inputs and textarea of the comments are a bit wide (especially the textarea – it stretches way off to the right). In IE, the content for the side on the articles page is actually at the bottom. (Not that I use IE, but my feed reader does :) If you want screenshots, I can provide them.

Great job though! I love the curved navigation at the top.

  7. I specified the width of the input fields and the textarea in the CSS, so if you still notice the sizes running wild, let me know. Thanks for the comments everyone.

  8. Definitely an improvement over the last version. I like the colors, fonts, and slight shadows. The only thing I am not a fan of is the outer glow on the #nav links. I never have been much of an outer glow man though.

    Nice job!

  9. Sorry, I was slow to check my email today. Bogged down at work. But it looks perfect now :)

  10. I thought ver. 1 was great but I love this one, too. Great job.

  11. Looks awesome

  12. A step in the right direction – I felt the same way after I created flex-mx.com (and I’m still improving it). You never REALLY get the chance to fully do what you want to do with version 1.0. :-)

  13. The new design is phenomenal. I hope to have something half as cool when I’m done with my own site.

Clean markup, amazing graphics/color scheme, and just plain fun with the curvy navigation. My hat is off to you.

  14. I love V1. and wondered how you could improve on it, but you have. It’s very pleasing on the eye.

  15. Version 2 is excellent, Steve. Loving the curves, the shadows, and the colors- so inviting!
Keep up the good work :)
